U.C.W.
The U.C.W. of St. John's United Church in
Stratford is a vital and active group of women of all ages dedicated
to providing a format of worship, service, stewardship and
fellowship. We meet on the first Monday of each month from
September until June in the church parlour at 7:30 PM. Our
programmes include guest speakers, discussion, study, input as to how
we can best serve our church and various social functions.
All women of the church are welcome since they are all United
Church Women (U.C.W.). Come and help us celebrate the dynamic group
that is United Church Women.
The only major fundraiser of St. John's U.C.W. is our
annual Bazaar. The
Bazaar includes a luncheon, silent auction, baking, delicatessen,
sewing, used books and used children's clothing. We welcome
any help for this function that you might wish to provide such as
working in the kitchen, in the dining room or in the booths,
donations of baking, deli items, sewing, silent auction items,
decorating, etc.
The proceeds from this event are used to provide the
funds to carry on our many charitable projects and services.
We hope that you will take the time out of your busy schedule to
attend this event.
The purpose of the UCW is
To unite
women of the Congregation
for the
total mission of the Church
and to
provide a medium
through
which we may express
our loyalty
and devotion to Jesus Christ
in Christian
Witness, Study, Fellowship and Service.
